Olander Park 2013.05.16

Olander Park isn’t that much farther from my house than the Toledo Botanical Garden, but I can’t recall having gone there in nearly thirty years. Part of it is probably because Dad used to participate in the Toledo Botanical Garden’s art shows (back when it was still called Crosby Gardens), and part of it is because I just don’t pass by Olander Park that much. I wanted a new place to take photographs, though, so I gave it a shot. The park is dominated by a huge spring-fed lake that offers fishing and swimming, and it’s bordered a little too closely by expensive condominiums for my taste, but it did give me lots of fowl to photograph and some scenic shots.

I haven’t edited these photos down any, except to reduce them in size, rotate them (when necessary), and sharpen them after reduction. As always, if you want the originals (taken at 2048 × 1536 resolution), e-mail me at (my first name)@(myfirstname)(mylastname).org.
