Toledo Botanical Garden 2010.05.19

I was overdue for a trip to the botanical garden to start with, and I’ve always wanted to get there earlier in the season to catch the younger colours of the season. It’s easy enough to take good photos there in the middle of the summer considering how well-maintained the garden is, so I thought it would be a bit of a challenge to go over there before everything had fully bloomed. I still had a relatively easy time finding good things to take photos of and interesting angles to take them at, though.

I wanted to take more photos, but the garden was fairly busy — we just got over a relatively long cold spell and were headed for a heat wave, and the temperature this day was just perfect with sunny skies and a nice cooling breeze — and there was a big canopy being set up near the parking lot for some event. That limited my ability to take photos a bit, but I’m still happy with what I took.

I haven’t edited these photos down any, except to reduce them in size, rotate them (when necessary), and sharpen them after reduction. As always, if you want the originals (taken at 2048 × 1536 resolution), e-mail me at (my first name)@(myfirstname)(mylastname).org.
