I finished the first paper late last night and turned it in this morning. (Have I ever mentioned how disoriented I get if I go out driving before mid-day? Seriously, if the sun's still in the east then I don't have any real feeling of where I'm going.) It was undoubtedly the hardest of the three end-of-term things I have to do (not counting grading my comp students' final portfolios, since that comes later), so now you'd think I'd have the motivation to charge through with the other stuff and just get it done so I can get down to enjoying my summer break. Instead, though, I've mostly been dawdling here on the campus computer labs most of the day. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to complete the other things by the time they're due, but I sure wish I could just put my nose to the grindstone here and be done with them.
By the way, I think I'm developing a serious addiction to the black bean burgers at Chili's. Soooooooooo good ...
