Let's Not Talk About the Weather
posted 2006/05/14 at 19:34

I will grant you that after the stress of this past semester (hell, I still have some leftover stress from fall semester I've yet to work out), I probably needed a few days of vegetating. I just didn't need the weather to assist me to that end to the extent that it did.

There is definitely something that's been passed down to me and my sister from my mother's side of the family having to do with our reactions to the weather. I don't know why, but me and my mother and sister all get these incredible reactions when the air pressure gets low. In addition to tiredness and otherwise inexplicable body aches, we can sometimes get these tremendous headaches. During fall semester, when the remnants of Hurricane Katrina made their way up here, I can remember having such bad headaches that I actually skipped a couple of classes.

Well, if none of you have looked at weather around here lately, we've had this huge low pressure centre parked over Ohio for days now, and it's not moving anytime soon. I haven't had any problems with headaches, but I know full well that the low pressure is the primary reason -- even more so than post-semester crashing -- that I have been so out of it lately. It also doesn't help that the weather's been so cold (we only reached 48 for a high on Friday when that's the average low for this time of year), preventing me from going out and doing stuff.

In other news, I still fucking hate my life, and this summer is still going to fucking suck. More on that later. Or not.
