Crappy anniversary

Yesterday was the five-year anniversary of the house fire, something that hadn't even occurred to me until a few days ago. Still, given how the fire was the culmination of quite possibly the shittiest week of my entire life, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I've been feeling so rotten this past week.
You'd think that maybe, since the anniversary of the fire has passed, that I'd feel better now. Think again. Like I said, this summer is shaping up to be one of the worst I've ever had, and so far nothing has happened to make me think that things will be getting any better. Believe me, if I could do stuff to make things better I would, but I'm pretty damn helpless in that regard right now.
Yeah, I'll shut up until I have something more profound to say. Whenever that is ...
