Well, Operation Ditch the Relatives was a rousing success, even if I had to get out of here like a bat out of hell early in the morning. Abby and Becky were the consummate hostesses, serving great food (the turkey looked great, but I can't vouch for its taste), letting us all watch the Lions game (as they did their best Bengals impersonation), watching Raiders of the Lost Ark, playing video games (I need to brush up on my Mario Kart 64 skills), and a few rousing games of Uno including one that went nearly an hour before I finally won. All in all, a great night, and all the Shannons are now safely back in Michigan so I can enjoy a relaxing night here before getting back to homework tomorrow.
